Before starting my 1 week, 3-country vacation to Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia, my partner and I (both Canadian citizens) must obtain a visa for each country.  Below, I describe the process and obesrvations we have to go through to get this:

Visa Vietnam

Vietnam requires Canadians to have visas. It should be noted that the visa on arrival is available but we 

decided to skip that process and visited the embassy in Singapore because we do not want to deal with it at customs.  

Attention: Visa Office is only open between 9 and 12.   Duration: 1 week

Documents required: Visa application form, passport and 2 photos per person

Cost: $ 80SGD/person

Process: Bring the required documents and cash at the time of surgery to the Embassy of Vietnam.Receipts will be issued and take a 1-week period at the point.

 Visa Laos

Laos Embassy is located at Goldhill plaza. Google Maps has an inaccurate address when doing a search for the embassy so make sure that you make the call to get the correct address. The locations related to the above is correct.  

Visa on arrival is available as we landed in Loans Prabang. The airport is quite small, and customs went quickly. There is a separate line for visa on arrival which seemed to move fast, however, we decided to get our visa earlier in Laos embassy in Singapore.

Attention: Common Visa Application form can not be found online. There are several forms of Laos visa to Australia and America, but I could not find a single common.

Duration: 24 hours, but they say they can do it in less time if necessary.

Documents required: Application form, 2 passport photos, 80SGD

 Visa Cambodia

The easiest of all the countries to get a visa, just go the e-visa form (linked) and you can, surprisingly, create an account and then buy some visa for you and your family / friends. A surprisingly visa management services, fast and complete. 

Duration: 3 days max

Documents required: photograph that can be uploaded
